About Me
I completed both my undergraduate and post-graduate training in Sydney, undertaking my medical degree at the University of Sydney. After being accepted into the Orthopaedic training program, I honed my skills at several level 1 trauma hospitals across Sydney, including Royal North Shore, Westmead, and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Throughout my training, I gained valuable experience in various aspects of orthopaedic surgery, with a special focus on Hip and Knee Surgery.
Elective Orthopaedic Experience
In pursuit of excellence, I dedicated 18 months of my training to elective orthopaedic experience. During this period, I worked at respected institutions such as Sydney Adventist, The Mater, and Northern Beaches Hospital, where I further honed my expertise in Hip and Knee Surgery. Additionally, I had the opportunity to serve in regional NSW towns like Dubbo, Tweed Heads, and on the Central Coast, gaining valuable insights into diverse healthcare settings.
International Training
In 2018, I was selected for a six-month surgical training program in the United States at Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Oregon. This enriching experience allowed me to broaden my perspective and learn from renowned experts in the field.
Sub-Specialty Training
To enhance my skills and stay at the forefront of medical advancements, I pursued sub-specialty training with an Australian Orthopaedic Association accredited fellowship in Lower Limb surgery. This intensive fellowship included comprehensive training in robotic and non-robotic anterior total hip replacement, robotic and computer navigated total knee replacement surgery, and arthroscopic knee surgery. I also gained valuable experience throughout this in area of orthopaedic trauma surgery.
Research and Academic Contributions
My passion for advancing orthopaedic knowledge led me to contribute to several research papers published in surgical journals. I have also presented my research findings at State, National, and International conferences, including the Australian Orthopaedic Annual Scientific Meeting and the World Congress of Physical Therapy in Singapore.
